Aimora is a personalised nutrition and wellness app built for the Indian diaspora. We take your privacy seriously — especially because you share sensitive health data with us to make your plan work. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.

📋1. What data we collect

Account information

Email address and password (stored and managed by Supabase Auth)
Name (first and last) provided during onboarding
OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google or Facebook

Health & body profile

Age, sex, height, current weight, and goal weight
Health conditions you choose to disclose (e.g. PCOS, Type 2 Diabetes, high BP, thyroid, cholesterol)
Activity level and exercise types
Calorie target and BMI

Food & nutrition logs

Every meal you log: food name, calories, protein, carbs, fat, meal type, and timestamp
Water intake logs
Food preferences — meals you swap, dislike, or mark as "don't show"

Exercise, weight & period logs

Exercise type, duration, estimated calories burned
Daily or periodic body weight entries
Period start and end dates (optional, female users only) — used only to exclude period-week weigh-ins from progress charts

🎯2. How we use your data

We use your data exclusively to provide and improve Aimora: personalised meal plans, calorie & macro tracking, progress charts, plan personalisation, and meal/weigh-in reminders.

We do not use your data to serve ads, build advertising profiles, or sell insights to third parties.

🔗3. Third-party services

Supabase (database & auth)

All data stored in Supabase with row-level security. SOC 2 Type 2 certified. supabase.com/privacy

OpenAI (meal plan generation)

A subset of your profile (goal, diet, health conditions, preferences) is sent to OpenAI to generate meal plans. No name, email, or ID is sent. OpenAI does not train on API data. openai.com/policies

Google & Facebook (optional sign-in)

We receive only your email and display name. No access to contacts, posts, or other data.

🏥4. Health data — special care

All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Row-level security ensures no other user can query your records.
Health condition data used only for meal plan personalisation — never shared with insurers or employers.
Aimora is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice.

⚖️5. Your rights

Access & correction — view and update your data inside the app.
Deletion — email privacy@goaimora.com to delete your account and all data within 30 days.
Export — contact us for a JSON export of your data.
California (CCPA) — right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we don't sell data).

📝6. Data retention, children & changes

Data retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Aimora is not for users under 16. We'll notify you 14 days before any material policy changes.
